ReSource
Promoting waste management and cleaner production

Coverage of continuous change in environmental legislation, the national qualifications framework, recycling applications and new equipment make this quarterly magazine a valuable resource to all organisations, managers, legislators and public health practitioners.
The readership of ReSource forms a far-flung community of multidisciplinary professionals working in many sectors of industry, business, trade and public service.

Due to continuous change in technology, legislation and the sciences that underpin waste management, these practitioners need a source of regular professional updates and best practice benchmarking. ReSource has fulfilled this need since its inception in 1999. It is the official magazine of the Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa. It is also endorsed by nine related organisations, including the Plastics Federation of SA.

Water managers habitually share their sources and insights in research reports, letters and queries to ReSource. The editor also sources information and views during site visits, from case studies, conferences and interviews with leading practitioners in southern Africa, and from visiting specialists from Australia, Europe and the US.

Target market

The readership and supplier base of waste treatment equipment and services include consultants, process specialists and trainers in the disciplines of waste minimisation, cleaner production, environmental impact procedures, collection, treatment, disposal, training, consulting and related fields.
All industrial sectors benefit from the continuously developing skills and equipment applications of waste managers.
Readers of ReSource are found at all levels of employment where waste management offers opportunities to improve public health and environmental protection.

Equipment and applications

The features in ReSource cover the activities of recycling organisations, such as the Rose Foundation, the Plastics Federation, and government initiatives such as Buyisa eBag.
Regular features on fleet management are also included in the magazine. Reporting goes beyond the specifications of equipment to include applications, integration, practicalities and legal aspects.
